First Meeting of Steering Group

On 5 April 2016, the steering group held its first meeting under the leadership of Dr. Christiane Reif and Dr. Daniel Römer at the Centre for European Economic Research in Mannheim. In the framework of this private meeting, the consortium was presented and Dr. Andreas Schmidt (DLR Project Management Agency) briefly outlined the funding policy context. First, the steering group discussed the fundamental aspects of the green transformation and continued to exchange views on the specific research approaches of exclusive work packages. Here, Prof. Rudolf Schüßler (University of Bayreuth) presented his first analyses on the effects of pluralism in principles of fairness and rationality in bargaining and meta bargaining theories. Dr. Martin Kesternich (ZEW) put the design of the planned series of experiments forward for discussion. Dr. Alex Schmitt (CESifo) and Ms. Anna Ciesielski (CESifo) demonstrated approaches for the development of a model for technology paths. Dr. Sebastian Voigt (ZEW) presented a model for the analysis of distributional effects. Finally, Prof. Bernhard Gill (LMU) showed his first results and planned analyses on society’s adaptability in the process of change.
