Networks for the future: 30th The International Trade Fair for Environmental Protection POL-ECO SYSTEM (23. – 25. October 2018 in Poznań (Poland))

During the international environmental trade fair POL-ECO-SYSTEM, which took place from 23rd to 25th October in Poznan, Poland, innovative projects for the environment were presented, which had originated from German-Polish networks under the funding of BMBF and NCBR. CO2URIER was among these projects and the project partners jointly presented their project results on 25 October.

The POL-ECO-SYSTEM is the largest international environmental trade fair in Eastern Europe and takes place annually under the patronage of the Polish Minister of the Environment. It offers exhibitors from all over the world the opportunity to present innovative environmental technologies and products. POL-ECO-SYSTEM included the following sectors: 1. water and wastewater, 2. waste and recycling, 3. energy and renewable energies, 4. air, noise and vibration, 5. climate change, 6. control and measurement equipment, 7. environmental education and 8. environmental organisations. The 700 exhibitors at the fair attract an average of 20,000 visitors. In addition to CO2URIER, eight other projects were financed by BMBF and the Polish National Centre for Research and Development (NCBR) in the “German-Polish Sustainability Research program”. They used the final workshop during the fair for project meetings and for exchange with potential partners. Subsequently, the project results were presented in final presentations with a special focus on their practical applicability. CO2URIER focused on the implementation of a CO2 compensation mechanism.
